[Cantarella is several minutes late when she finally enters the establishment (which I am assuming will be the alchemy lab, but correct it if otherwise). She looks vaguely ragged, double-checking the location several times once she enters with her brow furrowed, though the expression instantly disappears in the company of others.]
Best not let me handle anything requiring grace at the moment, until this decides to abate. But we don't exactly have the time to wait, do we?
[There's some urgency in her voice for someone who had the nerve to show up late.]
[ we are definitely within the alchemy lab—fran's side which is different than the side that's on the location page. ...but i'm not going to link pictures of because i'm lazy please forgive me. anyway— ]
I can begin to say that I was able to administer one of my cures to the person that Cantarella identified as being infected last week. The treatment seemed to go well for that person and they look to be stable.
[ fran will also offer a hand out to nozomi if she wants to hold onto someone while talking so that it's less scary. you know, if she's still blind. ]
[Don't mind her; she's now also fussing over Nozomi, who looks like a soaked cat, slightly wobbly as she does so.]
You were?
[This perks her up a little, at least.] I'm glad to hear it. It bought us a little more of that precious time...But we must eventually end this at the source.
[ Everyone is so nice to her... she's really not used to it. She will take Fran's hand to steady herself. ]
I didn't know you were doing that... It's good to hear they're doing well after treatment. [ Because she knows sometimes new medicine can have some failures before getting the desired positive effects. ]
[ though not to move on to more serious matters, fran will give nozomi's hand a very gentle squeeze before looking to cantarella. ]
Y'shtola's got the idea that it might lie somewhere with where the dead are communicating with us. I've already been thinking that if I could get a sample from the "hands", that I might be able to come up with an actual cure for it than simply something that would just stabilize those who have been infected.
I think she may be on to something. She says the well and central area are rife with energy, too. There's enough attention on the well, but I'm going to look at that myrtle this week.
[She would prefer Nozomi stay away from the well, too, but perhaps they are past the point of choosing. At the thought of samples, her expression turns pensive.]
I'd like to avoid any handsy intruders getting overfamiliar with me, if I can help it, but... There is one possibility, even avoiding carnage. On nights when we can't leave and fall into unnatural slumber...Stray too far, and you'll be dragged back.
... There is also the strange glow that overtakes people who bathe in the well's waters. Have you sampled that? [She's wincing just suggesting it, but...]
There must be something about the well water, or whatever is in there. When it's used on the dead plants in the greenhouse, they come back to life.
[There has to be something special about it, even if she doesn't know what exactly it is.]
Do you think it's the hands pushing people back? It would be hard to get a sample of them normally... Every time they've shown up to take somebody, we get frozen.
[If they still had the vote she could volunteer for that, but there's no physical vote being cast anymore.
She's less sure she could guarantee that outcome.]
[ don't mind him chewing over the hands and the glowing because he isn't familiar with that sort of thing but has tested nearly everything here to hell and back so. ]
I've sampled the water and tested its effects in all sorts of ways.
[ actually, if he may turn things around a bit so that they don't start treading the same grounds: ]
This may be a bit forward of me, but given the way that things are seemingly begun to move, I wonder if it would be worthwhile for you two to speak with Siffrin and Hansa. They've been working with Y'shtola in trying to answer these same questions.
[ he's seen the things that have worked behind the scenes (sort of) and paid attention to what people have talked about during the townhalls (for the most part). ]
Siffrin's been making a great deal of effort in trying to understand where the hands are coming from. [ ...there's a tiredness to fran's voice that is impossible to miss with this one. ] They even ate some of the dirt in the central area...
That certainly wasn't what I had planned to do with it. [Though she tries to keep the worry out of her voice, it's still there, somewhat tepid.] Then I hope we can connect soon.
If a sample is your best lead in studying this, we'll make sure you get one somehow. As you said before...this system is overburdened. It shouldn't take too much pushing to break it.
(frozen comment) ANOTHER DECISION
w4 monday?? this will be......interesting

While Nozomi does look over when she gets here, she doesn't quiet manage to meet her eyes.
Suddenly becoming blind is a tough way to live life.]
There's only so much time. Where should we begin?

Do you know where the source of it is?

It's what I've been doing since we started being able to find out who were infected at the start.
[ so, you know, yuki and lynne. ]
It's just been trickier every since, but it is nice to know that it's working.

A proper cure.

The... Strange glow? I haven't seen that...

[ Scientific curiosity or a strike of madness... guess there's no difference. ]
What exactly is the system we're trying to break? The cycle of death here?
