You come to in an intricately decorated dressing room. For those familiar with it, the style seems to be that of a Victorian manor house, and to those that aren't, even you can tell this is a stately room fit for the elite. In fact, you too, are decorated to match, fully dressed in luxurious suits or dresses, elegant and perfectly tailored, but still somewhat breezy and lightweight for the time period and class it belongs to. Looking outside, you get a view of a rolling and bright countryside. In the far distance, fields of crops and grazing cows can be barely spotted, but all of the nearby landmarks are elegant manors presumably similar to the one you stand in.

It’s not entirely surprising, given how many different dimensions we seem to hail from. I can’t even say for sure that this is completely similar to where I was.

But it does remind me of Earth at the turn of the 20th century. A strict and highly stratified society.

I’m not certain what this means for our situation.

If you can, act as though you’re meant to be here, and authoritative without being rude. [well, she doesn’t seem like she needs that reminder but etiquette is such a thorny thing] It will be best if we can figure out the purpose of this outing without giving away where we come from.

Yes. Things like this are very likely to be both, but they can also be centered around a specific event or individual.

If there’s some sort of key knowledge or understanding we’re meant to reach here, or someone we should see — we should strive to find that out before things really begin.

Speakest as thou usually would. I believe forcing thyself to speak differently would only draw unwanted suspicion.

There is a bit of an art to asking questions when you don't entirely know what you're trying to find out. But what we do know is that we're on our way somewhere, likely to a place similar to where we started out, presumably at the invite of someone. The footman should know the particulars, along with the latest gossip and who might be attending.

At least everybody was confused together in Halloween town. ]

... Right. I'll keep alert, but I don't really have experience in that sort of art.

Keeping alert and observing will also be important to where we're headed. You needn't overthink it.
