ROLE - SCIENTIST
Greetings Scientist.
Are you ready to get to work? I certainly hope you are; everyone here is depending on you. After all, your role, your goal is to develop the cure for the raging infection. And if you're not ready to work or don't know where to start, both very understandable, there should be a notebook somewhere that will be of help to you.
Don't worry, you won't have to do this alone. You get to pick an assistant to help you! Maybe even one of those shady figures that go into hiding. Rumor has it that they'll either give you one (1) item to check someone if they are infected or not; it'll take the shape and form of whatever you want. Or, they'll help you create the cure once you know what to do. Isn't that handy?
Except, unfortunately, it's only one or the other. Bummer.
NOTES:
- This is NOT a secret role, however it would be beneficial if you did not make your role public.
- You may request help from one (1) other player and one (1) NPC of your choice. You cannot change your choice.
- If the item is chosen then you may check one (1) player at any point during the week, however, you MUST contact a mod before doing so. The number of players may change depending on outside circumstances.

They look at the vial, lifting it to the light. ]
Well, first of all, it smells like blood. It's... a dark shade? Not lightless, a few shades lighter... the shade of blood, basically. [ They lift it up to the light, swirling it around. ] It's kind of see through? Not entirely, though, but light does go through it. And it looks kind of fresh... so that's why I said it was Beryl's.
[ Unless someone else is getting their blood drawn?? The fuck!? ]

I agree with you on Beryl’s blood. Though his transformation is all too likely not relevant to infection, having a sample of blood without it present will be useful to compare against.

There's no quick way of getting their blood, though. What am I gonna do? Ambush them?

We find a solution and quickly run into another issue. I suppose this cure truly will be something we must work towards.

I guess… if something like with Giyuu and Beryl does happen again… it’d probably be easier to find the infected person that way. And if we lock them then… I can…
[ “Take their blood”, they don’t say. Again, it’s a matter of being given the permission to do it, or using force to take it. But are they capable of such things on another human being? ]
