No, it wasn't. My roots are with chemistry—I stumbled upon alchemy during my research.

There were other alchemist that I worked alongside. [ hmmm. ] For a short period of time, I had some working for me.

I didn't mind it—it was less about being a "leader" but having the knowledge that I was working with others who shared my interests.
