[ Oh, wow!! They weren’t expecting the change, made clear by how long they stare at him.
There’s a change in Sage too, though, as a tail sticks out behind them and cat ears sit on top of their puppet head. Both new appendages are bright white. ]
[sage you are so lucky this thread is on wednesday and not after thancred's had like three separate people pointing a gun at him about you on thursday or friday
Likewise, he stares. A little harder of an inhale, a little harder motion of the tail that drifts back and forth against the floor.
...
He clears his throat, eyes drifting closed.]
You'd be correct. Rosemary proper, unless you've changed that spell of yours to make your puppets larger.
They'd broken one of their ankles while creating that little game of theirs.
It’s hard to tell that the puppet is looking at his tail, but it definitely is. ]
Did they now. [ Biting back a sigh. ] I knew it was ridiculous from the start. To know they were inured only serves to make it more so. What transpired, exactly?
[There's a little amusement behind the comment, but otherwise their sentiment of "ugh" is shared, so he won't push his luck.]
We'd found them trapped in one of the rooms that had been set up. Ours had several pits dug out to accommodate some of the enchantments. Rosemary claimed to have taken a fall in the process of making them.
I can't say much for the choice of footwear they had helping the matter, but that is neither here nor there. Between the five of us present, we were able to carry them out without incident.
In lack of better evidence, aye. Rickety and haunted as the whole place was, they'd still clearly put some thought into it. I'm amazed they did as much as they had while standing so far off the ground.
[I the player literally have no idea who ended up treating Rosemary's injury so to be safe: thancred doesn't know either unless i hear otherwise from caitie weeps]
Though I don't believe they would have been in any true danger in there, at the very least we could keep it from getting worse. [The movement of his tail stills.] They're a strange sort, I'll admit, but they're earnest.
A less than charming notion when we're already haunted enough, I imagine.
[He would have rolled his eyes more about it, but Nozomi really wanted to go and he wasn't about to let her do it on her own. Also: while it was a little pointless and childish, as one of the people that got an actually useful item, he won't complain about the reward.]
I will admit, to Rosemary's credit, that we were making a little more progress as a group on that than we did on the "booth". So I'd have to wonder if they were pleased with what came of it, even if they were hurt.

[ There’s some concern there. ]
Not Rosemary’s vessel, I presume.

[ They do like Rosemary, after all. It's how they got roped into helping prepare the haunted house in the first place. ]
Do you believe that was the cause for their fall?

That they are. Intelligent and diligent as well, ignoring the odd words they have a tendency to spout. Urge them to remain on topic and they will.
[ Little lessons Sage has learned. ]

[ Namely that it's tasteless, but. Still. ]
I have a spot of fondness for them, so I was willing to see where their ideas lead.

[ Though Sage is stern enough that maybe they won't hear complaints simply due to their nature. Who can say. ]
Rest assured that they will be taken care of, however.
