Me having to review the meeting on my phone like what if i just walk into the sea

[Cute... he'll slide it closer, though he's not taking it just yet.]

Aye, I could manage.

[im typing this on my phone im being so brave]

Firstly, a moderate amount of concern for the purpose of the "trial". While the first was an isolated incident, having the second be treated similarly has raised some doubts as to the motivations the puppeteers have. Especially in regards to how Giyuu's fate was repeated... and only with our seemingly most popular vote as directed by said trial. Some of the others are calling for a halt of participation, while others simply want more information on your decisions, including the spread of votes ans what you plan to do if this becomes cyclical.

...

Secondly, the matter of what happened to Yukinosuke. All of us confirmed we saw something happen to both of the guilty parties, but outside of the vote, we've no reason to determine why only Lynne was spared. No one has yet to see anything identical to what took Yukinosuke away, though there has been similar imagery in some of the locked boarding house rooms.

...

Third, more paranoid worries were floated that all of us might be carrying the disease you and yours are fighting to research. More than one think us to be a testing ground - some think it to be your doing, and others less so. Another theory was presented that this may have nothing to do with the disease itself and instead is our mysterious third party influencing perceptions, but we've still no way to prove that such a party exists.

...

Fourth, some of the profiles we were provided are now missing from those given during the trial - specifically, those that have been killed or taken. The incorrect files provided to us during our first days here seem to all be unchanged.

...

Fifth, and last, an observation was presented, and the one I wanted your direct opinion on. But I apologize if I am careful on how to approach it.

Foxglove intentionally has been avoiding the use of a certain phrase. That of... the personal wants that might have echoed to our arrival here. I have not confronted them on it yet, and I mean to. But that said, I would hear a more brusque opinion on whether you have seen voiced desire have negative affect.

[ There's the sound of heels on stone, and then a familiar voice: ]

You should confront them. Foxglove is a cautious individual, and that would be why they have not used the term. I believe you would learn more of their caution from them, as I will do as I always have. If I were to be subject to negative effects from speaking a word aloud, then so be it.

Naturally, I have more to say of your other points, should you have a desire to hear it.

[What surprise there is as she turns the corner is muted. In its place, alongside a familiar disgruntled frustration, is a simple relief. A final allowance to break the curtain of caution.]

Well, whether I agree or not has never changed your resolve in the past. It's not as though I expect that to change now.

...

[He shakes his head slightly, but finally reaches for the teacup, voice dipping quieter.]

Gods, Y'shtola, what are we to do with you at this rate...?

[ She smiles at him, a hint of fondness there before she crosses her arms. ]

A question I have posed to myself about you many times. 'Tis quite the sight to see the tables turn.

[ But he's well within his rights to feel some exasperation, she knows. ]

I do hope the tea is to your tastes.

Spare me. [Lighter.] You'll have enough new things to find to question and keep me on my toes soon enough, I'm sure.

[Don't remind him that he's embarrassing and stubborn!!!!! Still, he brings the cup to his lips, a deep and careful inhale as he draws in a sip. He was never one for tea, more just the necessary conversation and information it brought... but he would make an exception for her.]

Far be it from me to complain when you've gone through all the trouble.

Though... I would like to hear your opinions, ere we get too caught up.

[ There's a small smile on her lips when he takes a sip. It's really not in his realm of interests, not in the same way it is hers, but that he drinks it at all says a lot. ]

Of course. I'll address the first point.

[ It's easier to go one by one, after all. ]

I'm certain you know well my motivation, at the very least. Allowing violence to occur unanswered would only encourage more of it, though it certainly has not appeared to deter it. Votes were merely a means of gathering anonymous consensus from you and yours and nothing more. There was never an intent to punish.

[ Something that probably checks out for Y'shtola at the very least, as she's never been one who is heavy on punishment. ]

Naturally we will change course should it become cyclical. We had not anticipated that it might occur again after one strange incident.
