...yes, quite. It is enough to make one ill, really.
[ Anaxagoras can't articulate enough the amount of disgust he felt, but perhaps this will be enough, considering everything. Yet, it appears unsurprisingly that once again they are in agreement.
While Thancred is slightly looking at said Orb, he himself will be moving on towards the door as well, in preparation of Going. ]
It's good that the child has calmed down, all things considered.
I also suppose the exit holding such conditions will be simply a running theme...tsk.
[ this orb also has stars of iridescence within it! actually, this one would be of the shimmering sort too. we ponder this orb and realize that we don't like this orb very much...
and to help fast-forward things a bit, it'll be a peaceful walk in the dark on their way to the infinity door that will probably actually be unsettling given that it'll basically be silent they sort of did just kill everything else in the room aside from themselves and the child that they're now taking with them....
but when they approach the door, it will be looking for the requirement to be met. ]
[Thancred leading Anaxa by the hand the whole way over cause only one of us is good at maneuvering in the dark with one eye apparently smh]
Finis... Good, you're still here. [A hand goes to the child's head. Pat pat.]
I'd advise being careful if you choose to offer a part of yourself. I wished only for my sense of sight to be taken, but it went a far more drastic route than I'd wanted and took my entire eye. Perhaps the sense alone wasn't a high enough price.
[ Anaxagoras will otherwise be stumbling around in the dark, so he does really appreciate the assistance in this regard, murmuring even an expression of gratitude when they return. ]
Finis is the child's name?
[ His expression lightens for a moment, glad to see the child is okay, though who knows if that will continue to remain the case.
Regardless, he gives his gaze back on over to Thancred, nodding his head a bit, expression now appropriately serious. ]
Perhaps it is willing to take as much as it can when offered a portion of ourselves, in whatever shape or form, as it were. Which, of course, makes sense.
Either way, I believe I'm prepared for us to move along.
Aye. It's the only word I've gotten from them. But they calmed into cooperation when I made it apparent we had no reason to harm them, nor desire to bring them to Issac.
[He exhales, reaching out for the door.]
You'll choose Finis again, I take it.
[He's far less against it now, it sounds like.
To take from someone else would ease this... but he knows this request will be larger. Ask more. Would it take from Anaxa? Finis? He doesn't know, and doesn't want to risk it.
Let it take from him again, then. A finger, or other part of his hand. However much would be enough for its demand.]
[ The circumstances ended up panning out differently than he anticipated, though for obvious reasons Anaxagoras still has his own concerns, given what it has 'taken' thus far. ]
...Yes, I certainly will be.
[ Either way, he hasn't changed from his course.
He is deciding to still bring Finis along, because well, there is no sense in leaving the child behind. If there is anything else that needs to be done in this regard - well, he will find out. ]
Whatever else you happen to lose, do tell me swiftly. If you can manage.
...I imagine that I can't use the same price twice.
[ But, what consequences does "taking" bring? This place they had entered was nefarious enough. He barely gives it a single thought.
His limbs may be necessary, for that matter. But, his wish is something he can achieve with his own hands. He allows himself to forget it, believing himself not needing to recall it in the first place. ]
[ the lengths of which someone would go to pass through these doors is certainly something else. finis will pass through the door just fine as with anaxa, though his wish ripped from him as he now knows that the weight of the binds that hold him will not be so easily wished away. his freedoms no longer within reach...
though not as tragic as anaxa but painful in its own right, thancred will find several of his fingers taken from him as soon as he steps through the door. his thumb, pinky, and index finger severed cleanly and left with just the open wound without the mess of the blood. the air surely causing its own torture than the removal of the fingers themselves.

[So, yknow, at least Anaxa can have a heads up on what part of him might very well vanish the second this door opens.]
