[ what thancred will find might surprise him. the cables are all connected from the blue crystals and it'll seem like they are the ones that are powering the orb. just them no other power source outside of the blue crystals. a nice, neat circuit where there's some sort of loop between the crystals and the orb that is generating this power. though, as thancred is looking, he'll also notice that these cables also connect to the tanks.
for anaxa, the sort of response he gets from issac is probably expected of him by now. the way that
"no, nothing like that... i plan to show it to them with strength." issac will gestures to the blue crystals behind him, but not turning to face them. "these crystals will provide me endless energy on their own; they do not require anything to consume to produce energy but are able to power everything thing you see here effortlessly.
you ask about how i would go about change and it's simple. i create a war. a war that would spread across the globe—a world war—and force progress upon humanity. those who cannot keep up will fall to those who can."
....yeah. the vibes of this man are absolutely deplorable. damn, anaxa without a gun, too. ]
[What a horrible time to be two men without their guns. But at least the monologue completes what he's seeing.
Take out the heart, let the limbs wither and die.
He'll take a second to actually check the connection, but whether he understands it or has to brute force it, it's still time to start yanking those cables out from where the crystals are stationed, one at a time.]
[ Indeed, it would have been nice to have had a gun. He would have ended the conversation right then and there. It could have been a double effort, in fact. Because, you know, got to make sure and all!
Anaxagoras plasters on a bullshitting smile, though. He doesn't make it obvious as to whether he has noticed Thancred or not. ]
I see...interesting.
[ Derogatory. But, he is making himself appear the rapt listener now, despite his tone remaining serious all the while. ]
Many people have their own methods in exacting their own goals - throughout history, that is an evident fact. Now, at least I understand yours...though, it is rather easy to do so when you spell it out like that.
I'm sure others might do the same, whatever their opinions may so happen to be.
[ Just going to add in some superficial commentary so that Thancred has time to pull these cables out. ]
[ and thank god that thancred is going to be pulling the plug on this one so i, naru, can stop typing horrible words. though, issac doesn't get to out of this one quickly since thancred is doing it one at a time.
issac spares anaxa another insane tirade about his thoughts and ideals, as he'll go to look at what is happening. the blue aura around him fading along with some of the tanks being shut down at the same time. while he says nothing, there's a panicked look on his face. ]
[ anaxa here to watch a man die before his eyes. powerful. though, at the same time, that's pretty much what's going to happen because as thancred pulls more of the plugs there's little that issac will get to do in response. the blue aura fading from this "copy" of "finis" fading completely and causing the figure to drop limply onto the ground as a puppet who had just had its strings cut.
the orb, unexpectantly, will not dim, however the blue crystals behind it will start to "power down" and darken...going inert. as for the environment to physically change, no so much, but that there will be less and less visible light allowed to them as the tanks go dark until thancred is out of plugs to pull. ]
[Throwing aside the last of the cables, Thancred moves up to join Anaxa.]
Rather rich sort of view, given the state of all these children of his.
[Does this orb also have the stars of iridescence... Thancred is going to look as little as possible because hello, he didn't like bone disintegration and would rather they start getting back to the door.]
There's nothing much else of note, save for the child calming down. Our exit has the same conditions as before.
...yes, quite. It is enough to make one ill, really.
[ Anaxagoras can't articulate enough the amount of disgust he felt, but perhaps this will be enough, considering everything. Yet, it appears unsurprisingly that once again they are in agreement.
While Thancred is slightly looking at said Orb, he himself will be moving on towards the door as well, in preparation of Going. ]
It's good that the child has calmed down, all things considered.
I also suppose the exit holding such conditions will be simply a running theme...tsk.
[ this orb also has stars of iridescence within it! actually, this one would be of the shimmering sort too. we ponder this orb and realize that we don't like this orb very much...
and to help fast-forward things a bit, it'll be a peaceful walk in the dark on their way to the infinity door that will probably actually be unsettling given that it'll basically be silent they sort of did just kill everything else in the room aside from themselves and the child that they're now taking with them....
but when they approach the door, it will be looking for the requirement to be met. ]
[Thancred leading Anaxa by the hand the whole way over cause only one of us is good at maneuvering in the dark with one eye apparently smh]
Finis... Good, you're still here. [A hand goes to the child's head. Pat pat.]
I'd advise being careful if you choose to offer a part of yourself. I wished only for my sense of sight to be taken, but it went a far more drastic route than I'd wanted and took my entire eye. Perhaps the sense alone wasn't a high enough price.
[ Anaxagoras will otherwise be stumbling around in the dark, so he does really appreciate the assistance in this regard, murmuring even an expression of gratitude when they return. ]
Finis is the child's name?
[ His expression lightens for a moment, glad to see the child is okay, though who knows if that will continue to remain the case.
Regardless, he gives his gaze back on over to Thancred, nodding his head a bit, expression now appropriately serious. ]
Perhaps it is willing to take as much as it can when offered a portion of ourselves, in whatever shape or form, as it were. Which, of course, makes sense.
Either way, I believe I'm prepared for us to move along.
Aye. It's the only word I've gotten from them. But they calmed into cooperation when I made it apparent we had no reason to harm them, nor desire to bring them to Issac.
[He exhales, reaching out for the door.]
You'll choose Finis again, I take it.
[He's far less against it now, it sounds like.
To take from someone else would ease this... but he knows this request will be larger. Ask more. Would it take from Anaxa? Finis? He doesn't know, and doesn't want to risk it.
Let it take from him again, then. A finger, or other part of his hand. However much would be enough for its demand.]
[ The circumstances ended up panning out differently than he anticipated, though for obvious reasons Anaxagoras still has his own concerns, given what it has 'taken' thus far. ]
...Yes, I certainly will be.
[ Either way, he hasn't changed from his course.
He is deciding to still bring Finis along, because well, there is no sense in leaving the child behind. If there is anything else that needs to be done in this regard - well, he will find out. ]
Whatever else you happen to lose, do tell me swiftly. If you can manage.
...I imagine that I can't use the same price twice.
[ But, what consequences does "taking" bring? This place they had entered was nefarious enough. He barely gives it a single thought.
His limbs may be necessary, for that matter. But, his wish is something he can achieve with his own hands. He allows himself to forget it, believing himself not needing to recall it in the first place. ]
[ the lengths of which someone would go to pass through these doors is certainly something else. finis will pass through the door just fine as with anaxa, though his wish ripped from him as he now knows that the weight of the binds that hold him will not be so easily wished away. his freedoms no longer within reach...
though not as tragic as anaxa but painful in its own right, thancred will find several of his fingers taken from him as soon as he steps through the door. his thumb, pinky, and index finger severed cleanly and left with just the open wound without the mess of the blood. the air surely causing its own torture than the removal of the fingers themselves.

I believe-- [as he just keeps popping those off, all the way down the line.] -- we have heard quite enough of those opinions for now.
[Mr. Child Grandpa is changing, as are the tanks. Is the orb changing as well?]

All the while, he is just going to watch this happen, because he doesn't very well need to do much beyond distraction duty. ]
I certainly can concur on this matter that we have.
[ Excellent the blue aura is dispersing, though. If he needs to go in for a tackle in any time, he is prepared to as well.
He is also keeping an eye out for any additional environmental changes. Just in case. ]
