ROLE - DOCTOR
Hello Doctor.
Can I call you "doctor"? Well, regardless of your feelings on the matter or whether you have the qualifications of being a doctor, this will now be your role. Your task will be simple - figure out who has been infected and help them. A bit daunting of a task, I know, however it will come with an upside!
You will be completely immune from the infected and will be given an item that will let you know how recently that person has been infected. If they have been infected in the first place. This item will take shape of whatever you wish it to be but will have a single (1) use - unfortunately.
Oh, and before you leave, there's a book titled "Doctors for Dummies" that you may find to be very interesting. It might help you out - help all of us out.
NOTES:
- The book will be updated every Monday at 9 AM of the new week.
- This is NOT a secret role, however it would be beneficial if you did not make your role public.
- You may request help from one (1) other player and one (1) NPC of your choice. You cannot change your choice.
- Pick one (1) person to save on Thursday, even if you are chosen to die that week.

[Though she's rather neutrally describing the events preceding Giyuu's coughing fit and dissolution, Cantarella's expression is dim.]
Better than being splattered with foreign substances by far. None in the crowd seemed injured or affected, so I don't think any remained behind.
That girl, Maomao, was checking others, too. [She pauses, lingering on the thought.] Have you spoken with her?
no subject
[ foxglove will make a note of it but not comment on it. instead it will simply just shake its head instead. ]
Maomao? No, she hasn't spoken to me and I don't want to go out of my way to approach anyone if they're not interested in saying to me.

If we meet again soon, I might think to ask if she noticed anything. It would seem we share similar circumstances and hobbies.
[Cantarella would like her book and creepy letter back now, so she can review what's written there once again with a tight expression.] Whoever sent these to me, they've all but outright said we should anticipate infection to spread.

N, not all of us can be like Lobelia!
[ but yes, she can have her book back and the creepy letter that foxglove has absolutely no idea where it came from but definitely will start to ponder it. it'll also ponder her words. ]
If you think that she'll keep meeting with you, I wouldn't mind also working with her as well. It would save us the trouble of needing to go back and forth with the same notes, and make better use of our efforts to figuring out how to stop it from spreading.

I'll see what she's observed and provide any samples after that fact. It'd be beneficial to work from similar experiences...though we might also miss something.
[She doesn't know enough about anyone else's work to really quantifiably say, and seems to be determining whether another similar skillset or something otherwise completely different would be best to consult.
Before she goes, though, she does have one more question--]
With no cure and no lasting treatment, what can I hope to offer the infected to help them once I've found them?
no subject
[ it'll tap its chin thoughtfully. ]
There is something that I've set aside—I don't have many vials of it, but it managed to stabilized the last person I used it on for about a month. After that...
[ well, does this puppet need to elaborate? ]
no subject
But if she is immune, and another of her fellows isn't...what risk would she be asking them to take on?]
I don't need to remind you that a month is much longer than a day.
no subject
[ the puppet will nod its head at that. and while it doesn't sound upset or downcast, it will sound apologetic. ]
I only have 5 vials left of what I was able to produce, and I can't guarantee that all of them are as potent as the other but I'm confident that it'll stabilize an infected individual.

If I should come to understand the symptoms well enough, I'll be able to determine for certain if one person's been exposed. [Once again, obliquely mentioning the accessory for doing the doctor's job that the letter had without explicitly revealing or drawing attention to it.] Ideally, we won't have to use all or even any of the stockpile, but we should prepare for if we do.
no subject
[ it mutters to itself before shaking off the thought to focus on what's important. ]
You're right.
At least, we have a slight idea of what we can expect from what's to come—if it really is spreading throughout all of you. Getting to know one another better may help with the less transparent changes.
[ aka team build exercises go! ]
