ROLE - DOCTOR

Hello Doctor.

Can I call you "doctor"? Well, regardless of your feelings on the matter or whether you have the qualifications of being a doctor, this will now be your role. Your task will be simple - figure out who has been infected and help them. A bit daunting of a task, I know, however it will come with an upside!

You will be completely immune from the infected and will be given an item that will let you know how recently that person has been infected. If they have been infected in the first place. This item will take shape of whatever you wish it to be but will have a single (1) use - unfortunately.

Oh, and before you leave, there's a book titled "Doctors for Dummies" that you may find to be very interesting. It might help you out - help all of us out.

NOTES:
- The book will be updated every Monday at 9 AM of the new week.
- This is NOT a secret role, however it would be beneficial if you did not make your role public.
- You may request help from one (1) other player and one (1) NPC of your choice. You cannot change your choice.
- Pick one (1) person to save on Thursday, even if you are chosen to die that week.

His irises turned a bright red, though no other atypical symptoms were noted. Research regarding this particular phenomenon is pending, but seems to be unrelated to the illness.

please respond with which puppet cantarella would like to work with, and which other character they'd like to work with. the two of them do not need to be decided at the same time, and can be done whenever makes most logical sense. ]

Cantarella will choose Foxglove as her NPC coworker for all the reasons listed on my manic Charlie Day-style pro-con board and more. Please don't lead me astray, heart.

I'll be back with a PC pick later, but this will probably take more time to fully cook!! I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't ask for help from another player character until after the first trial because of the way she is, but I will not cuck someone else from being able to participate for too long hehe.

Cantarella has chosen Nozomi to work with her ICly. I could go through all the reasoning in yet another essay but mostly she not only sees a little bit of herself in her but is really worried she's going to spiral if she can't help people. and this might do something for her self-confidence. i, meanwhile, am a pancake

[Since Cantarella has been back out in the central field on Wednesday afternoon cataloging the plants, perhaps she'll be able to run into her arborially inclined friend? It's all coming together and so neatly flowing...satisfying.]

[As soon as she's stabilized and as soon as people have dispersed—so not very long at all, given her tendency to grit her teeth and bear it— Cantarella is at the infirmary. She skips all greeting entirely this time, though she does not sound displeased with them.]

Foxglove, what's happened? [Lobelia's voice lacked some of the energy it carried last week. Hearing that, even mid-drowning, she can only imagine it's attached to their ongoing dilemma. He, too, was researching, after all.]

Is it truly spreading so quickly? [And beneath that Cantarella sounds a little tentative, injured. She might not have observed the correct signs...Did she also fail to notice what should have been right under her nose?]

Cantarella assumes Victor will be tending to the wounded for the rest of the day and night, as he should. So when everyone's dispersed, and the shakedown is surely ongoing, she's back in the alchemy lab, reviewing notes and restocking on things that might be necessary. Sedatives. Analgesics. The things she can make in her sleep, even with a less familiar stock of ingredients. She singularly focused and frigidly silent, though at least she doesn't seem as poorly off as she will a day from now, after having not slept for at least two days.]

Well, I wasn't expecting to see you out of the infirmary for the foreseeable future.

and it's fine; thanks to a number of things, the wounded will be able to be on their own for a little bit thanks to the fact that there are multiple people who know how to treat wounds here and help from nozomi's healing lantern. that said—she can no longer start throwing stones at his house. ]

I believe there were a few people who have told me that I need to get some fresh air instead of keeping myself cooped up all day.
